What Are They?
Plates, medallions, labels, plaques--they have many names that can describe them because they can be used for a wide range of applications. With a plain back and your artwork on the front, these metal plates are intended to be affixed to your product as a finishing touch to represent your brand. Sizes can range from as small as 1 square inch up to 12 square inches, depending on the form and ratios of your artwork.
How Are They Used?
The most common use for our custom labels is as an embedded or affixed emblem on a product or package. For instance if you are selling hand poured candles these would be a great way to elevate your brand by being glued to the lid or box to show your logo. Another popular use is for furniture makers and crafts people to mount these plaques onto their finished projects.
Really, it's up to you how you want to use your custom made medallions. They can be a decorative embellishment or a seal of approval to mark your work. The high quality of our metal medallions brings a level of detail and refinement beyond that of simply a stamp or sticker.
What Are The Options For Customization?
Size and shape are the most obvious ways to customize the plates. Work with our artists to get your logo or brand looking perfect for the finished product. But there are more ways to customize your order.
You can also choose the type of plating metal and finish that best fits your project. We offer both polished finish plates and antiqued finish plates, each with several appearance options such as silver, brass, copper, or gold.
Add color accents to your design with a soft enamel color fill option. These can be used for detail areas or also as a basic color background and fill for your logo. Using color is a great way to stay in line with your branding standards and also creates visual interest to contrast the raised metal sections of the artwork.
Mounting upgrades include either rivet holes or adhesive backing. The rivet holes give you a place to securely attach your labels to your product using screws or pins. The holes can be for any reason, so you can also use string or ribbon for your presentation. The adhesive backing option is a strong industry standard backing from 3M that is formed to match the shape of your design so that the entire surface is covered. Of course you can also choose to have the plain metal back and use your own methods to affix your labels.
How To Order
It's easy to order your very own custom made plates/medallions. You can choose your options and upload your artwork online and our team of artists will create a digital proof for you to approve before production begins. Or you can call or email to get started in the design process. Once you approve your proof there is a production time of approximately 15 business days. So order early at least a month ahead of time if you have a deadline or event.
