Custom Made Medals

Our custom made medals are die-cast zinc alloy, and are available in antiqued or polished finishes.

Plating choices include brass, copper, nickel, black nickel, genuine silver, and genuine gold.

Enamel fills can be added for Pantone®-matched brand colors or decorative accents.

Standard medal sizes range from 1.5" to 2.5" diameter; custom shapes can be made as long as they fit within those dimensions.

Oversized medals are also possible—just request a Free Preview & Quote for custom pricing.

The standard 2D thickness is 2 mm. Other thicknesses can be produced if your project is 3D or requires something different, please contact us for a custom quote.

Choose from classic, chisel, rope, or spiral edge treatments, which work best for round, oval, or other traditional shapes.

Custom-shaped medals often have their own integrated border style or edge treatment, for instance if they’re designed by a design agency.

We offer two primary styles of medal ribbons:

• Neck Ribbons (Lanyard Style)
  These longer ribbons are worn around the neck and are most commonly used for award or participation medals. Length typically ranges from 31½ to 35½ inches, and width is usually ¾", 1", or 1¼", depending on the size of the medal.
• Short (Bar-Style) Ribbons
  These are the traditional style used for medals pinned to the chest. Our standard ribbon material is woven polyester, available in a variety of color combinations and formats.

We offer two primary printing methods:

• Silkscreen Printing – A great choice for bold, solid logos or simple text. Colors are vibrant and crisp, and the ink sits on top of the ribbon for a slightly textured feel.
• Dye Sublimation – Ideal for complex designs, gradients, or full-color artwork. These ribbons start white and are printed edge-to-edge, resulting in a smooth, satiny finish with excellent detail.

Medals are individually bagged by default. Velvet drawstring bags are available for awards, commemorations, or premium presentations.

Yes. We can match Pantone® colors using enamel fills, which are great for logos or bold color accents. Platings themselves are actual metal and can’t be color-matched in the same way.

Absolutely! Whether you have finished artwork, a rough sketch, or just an idea, our design team will work with you to turn it into a professional, production-ready layout. We can help to adjust your existing designs, incorporate your branding, or create a new design from scratch. You’ll receive a detailed proof for approval, and we’ll guide you through any refinements needed to ensure your medals look exactly as you envisioned.

We recommend sending a graphic or logo, but we’re happy to refine your design or create artwork based on your idea. Simple text-based designs are possible, though most medals include logos or custom motifs

Yes, sequential numbering can be laser-engraved in designated areas designed for this purpose. We often design a small pill-shaped or rectangular area into the piece specifically for numbering, planned as part of the design process.

Yes, the minimum bulk order quantity for our medals is 100 pieces. Exact minimum order quantities are shown on each product page in the pricing table.

No, bulk orders need to meet the listed minimums. However, samples are available for purchase if you’d like to review the product quality first.

Yes. You can purchase existing samples on product pages to review quality, color, weight and more before placing a bulk order. If you’d like to see your own design on an actual product, we can create a spec sample of any item for an additional charge.

Production time is 15 business days after you approve your proof. The exact production time for each item is noted on its product page.

Shipping time is additional. We ship from Ohio via FedEx, and you can choose the service that best fits your schedule—from Ground to faster options like 2 Day and Priority Overnight.

We ship from the Columbus, Ohio area via FedEx (our facility is just a few blocks from a major FedEx hub). Being centrally located in the U.S. means fast, reliable delivery nationwide.

We currently ship to the U.S. and Canada only.

Yes. We can split your order and ship to multiple locations. A $20 split shipping fee applies per additional destination to cover handling and processing. You can provide shipping addresses and instructions during the proofing or approval process.
