No. These engraved carabiners are metal and engraved only—no color fill is added. The engraving is permanent, very sharp and etched directly into the anodized surface, so it won’t fade or scratch off.

Screen-printed carabiners may allow for color, but the imprint is far more likely to scratch or wear off with use—you want engraved carabiners for lasting quality.

If your artwork is in color, we can usually convert it for engraving at no extra charge.

On colored finishes, this creates a bright, high-contrast marking. On silver, the engraving is more subtle—tone-on-tone, like a frosted effect on the metal, with a classic etched look. Gold offers more contrast than silver but not as much as deeper colors like blue or red. On all other colors, the contrast is high. In every case, the engraving is crisp, permanent, and part of the metal itself—it won’t fade or rub off.

No. These carabiners are not load-bearing, climbing-rated, or intended for mission-critical suspension. Each carabiner is clearly marked “Not for Climbing.”

That said, many customers have used them for years to hang or attach items—common sense applies, as they are made from aluminum, not steel.
